So you have graduated from the amazing school of wizardry and witchcraft, okay I’m kidding, but not really, you just spent a year and a half of your life learning all about beauty and how to transform sows ears into silken purses and now you have a license to perform miracles.
So now what? Do you find a salon to work for, a chair to rent, what about going out on your own? It can be an overwhelming choice because all you want to do is hair or nails or mani-pedis. Getting into a busy salon is a great way to build clientele, without the hassle of do-it-yourself.
I recently came across an ad for an idea that I had not considered, Salon Pods. If you haven’t heard about this pod thing, it’s simple. A facility is built, looks like a large classy salon, but each stylist has a separate space in which they can customize it to their own personal feel and style. So much more than a chair rental, a chance to really cultivate your business and “own” something, you are the boss. Imagine setting your own hours and rates and having the final say in all of your business. Fantastic
