Downton Abbey Beauty Line ~ Erin Montgomery
A Beauty Line for Downton Abbey Erin Montgomery
It’s official! Downton Abbey has launched their own line of beauty products, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Downton Abbey has consumed our hearts and television sets for three seasons. This soap-like television series is about to enter its fourth season and the anticipation is killing us. The fashion and beauty on the show have influenced a lot of the trends. The show has inspired trends like the faux-fur collar, harlem pants and Mary Jane shoes, and now with it’s upcoming release of a cosmetics line we can guarantee it will inspire beauty looks.
For a few months we have been speculating when/if this day would ever come, after the producers of Downton Abbey announced they were planning to launch products.
The 10-piece cosmetics line will be sold exclusively at Marks and Spencers and will hit shelves in October, just in time for the release of the fourth season. It will consist of soaps, nail polish, lip-gloss, body lotion and scented candles all wrapped in Edwardian looking packaging, which will feature the Downton Arms. The packaging also features an iconic image of the Abbey as well as a quote from the series, like ‘I’d expect no less’ on the Downton Abby guest soap.
Want to achieve the Downton Abbey beauty look at home? The look on Downton Abbey is about keeping it simple and creating a natural make up look. Start with a tinted moisturizer to add a little glow, sweep on some black mascara and finish with a dab of rosy cream blush. And now with the release of the Downton Abbey lipgloss we can take this look from day to night with a just a little red or pink gloss.
Not only does the Downton Abby line carry your essentials like lip gloss and nail polish it also offers a cosmetic bag to keep all your items tucked away.
According to Marks and Spencers the maker of Downton NBC Universal has signed a two-year merchandising deal with the store, which can only mean one thing…we can expect much more for this Downton Abbey Line. Till next time, thank you so much for reading! Erin
